Project 3: Researching and Developing Ideas

I am a big fan of Paula Scher and her design work.. (also the fact that she is a female kick ass designer! :p)

Her work is very experimental and I like the fact she is very hands on with her drawing skills as well as just digitally… after all Design is more than just a few buttons on Photoshop!

There is a quote of hers that I live by (above) I can resonate with it. I also have a sign above my house outside which reads “The creative adult is the child who survived.”

I myself am like the big kid who never grew up… I have a big imagination, have big ideas and am a bit of a daydreamer…

I strongly agree with Paula Scher that designing is like playing with Barbies for adults!… imaginitive, fun… you problem solve scenarios and make up stories.. We are creating a whole new world! (just minus the bad haircuts and tattoos I gave my Barbies! ;P)

This section of my blog is dedicated to project number 3 in this unit; developing and researching ideas. It is all about experimenting and “playing”.
